JADE has been officially shortlisted for the 2026 Mercury Prize Albums of the Year in recognition of her debut solo album, THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!.
Her inclusion among this year’s 12 nominated records rounds out a massive era for the artist. Prior to the nomination, THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! made waves by becoming the fastest-selling debut album of 2025 by a UK artist.
Also joining the shortlist this year is RAYE, who earned a nomination for her release, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.
The overall winner of the 2026 Mercury Prize will be announced at the awards show on October 22, which will take place at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle. You can read more about this year’s Mercury Prize shortlist here.
