Propstore, one of the world’s leading entertainment memorabilia auction houses, has announced an extraordinary collection of guitars and music memorabilia set to feature in its upcoming Music Live Auction. The collection, comprising over 800 lots, holds a combined estimated value of approximately $4 million.
The auction brings together rare, stage-played, studio-used, and autographed guitars connected to legendary names such as Noel Gallagher, Elvis Presley, Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx, and Pink Floyd.
Auction Highlights
- Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds (2016): A photo-matched custom Nash Telemaster guitar, owned and stage-played during the band’s summer 2016 tour. Estimated: £40,000 – £80,000 ($52,800 – $105,600)
- Radiohead: Jonny Greenwood’s photo-matched 1963 Gretsch 6119 Atkins Tennessean, used during the 2006 US tour soundcheck and the recording of In Rainbows. Estimated: £15,000 – £30,000 ($19,800 – $39,600)
- Elvis Presley: An exceptionally rare prototype “Elvis Presley” Gibson Montana SJ-200 acoustic guitar, one of only two produced. Estimated: £15,000 – £30,000 ($19,800 – $39,600)
- Mötley Crüe: Nikki Sixx’s photo-matched, autographed and inscribed stage-used Schecter J-4 bass guitar. Estimated: £6,000 – £12,000 ($7,920 – $15,840)
- Pink Floyd: A custom Fender Stratocaster featuring The Dark Side of the Moon artwork, autographed by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason. Estimated: £5,000 – £10,000 ($6,600 – $13,200)
